Formally known as The Vienna Tavern and showcased in Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen as The Swan Dive, this little tavern is where our lead, Rachel, goes to seek both help and answers. While The Vienna Tavern is no longer open to the public, it is a short drive to Van Wagners Beach, a super popular hangout in the summer months and it doesn’t take long to figure out why. Make your first stop Barangas On The Beach, one of Ontario’s largest lakefront patios, offering beautiful views and classic Greek cuisine. When you’re finished, take a short walk down the beach to Adventure Village where there’s no shortage of activities to choose from. Try their elaborate 18-hole miniature golf course or take a swing at the batting cages. Not your thing? How about bumper cars that spin 360 degrees or rock climbing? You could spend all day there, but if you’ve timed things just right, it’s almost time for that sun to set. Continue your walk along the Hamilton Waterfront Trail, a 7.5 km off-road pathway along Lake Ontario. If you happen to find yourself wandering past Hutch’s On The Beach, stop in for an ice cream and put the cherry on top of this perfect day.
