In the opening scene of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, Aang and the gang face off against Fire Nation soldiers, displaying the full extent of their element-bending capabilities. The backdrop is Surrey’s own Panther Paintball, a thrilling outdoor paintball venue known for its expansive playing fields, themed battle zones and adrenaline-filled matches. Panther Paintball is a favourite for groups looking to add a little friendly competition to their day. After the action wraps up, head over to Glen Valley Stables, where horseback riding adventures take visitors through scenic countryside, forest trails and the picturesque landscapes of Campbell Valley Park. Whether you're an experienced rider or a beginner, it's a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty of the area from a different perspective. After the paintball and horseback riding, you may want to treat yourself to The Salt Chuck Sauna & Spa. This unique wellness destination offers Nordic-inspired sauna and cold plunges to reset from a day of activity. As a final stop, we recommend a sunset at White Rock Beach. Known for its long sandy shoreline, iconic white boulder and picturesque pier overlooking Semiahmoo Bay, it’s the perfect place to take in a perfect day spent in Surrey.

A Rocha BC Centre

Slide 1

While Commander Zhao’s intimidating Pohuai Stronghold was mainly created using practical effects and CGI, all of the filming for the epic scenes featured there took place at the A Rocha BC Centre, an 18-acre conservation and wildlife habitat. The centre also offers several natural trails, educational programs, a cafe & farmstand, and a five-bedroom guest house that can be rented out for a peaceful nature retreat. This region of BC is also known for its lush vineyards, like Vista D’Oro, which produces delicious hand-crafted wines and ciders made from grapes and orchard fruit grown onsite. Keep the outdoor adventures going with a trip to nearby Redwood Park, known to locals for its vibrant Fairy Forest. Take a trip through the forest to see the bustling fairy village, maintained and added to by locals throughout the year.
